Last spring both boys were in little league baseball. The schedule about killed Jerry and I, and by the third game into the season the boys were bored. We stuck it out, gotta teach the kids sticking to your commitments and all that. SOOO, this spring no baseball! Swimming lessons! The kids all showed improvement from the first lesson to the last. Thomas can float on his back quite well and loves to do "pencil dives" off the diving board in the deep end of the pool. Zachary also improved on being able to float and is working on learning the crawl stroke. Kelsey. Unlike her brothers Kelsey did not take baby swim lessons at 2 years old. This was a mistake. She had to be coaxed by her teacher at every lesson to jump into the 3 ft deep kiddie pool. Kelsey did enjoy kicking and splashing, and would put her face in the water for 1/2 a second. Notice the picture of the little slide on the side of the kiddie pool? See Kelsey in the picture? NOPE! See the picture of her "ARE YOU KIDDING ME MOM?" look? Going down the slide was not going to happen. Despite this Kelsey had fun and said that she enjoyed swimming lessons.
