Coffee Anyone?
Well, I decided to take a quick shower while Zac and Kelsey were playing so nicely in the livingroom...or so I thought...Apparently Kelsey did the dumping, but by the look of things Zac had a fun time "making roads" with his cars.
Sometimes you just have to find the hummor in things in stead of turning into "crazy mom".

Warping Our Children
More Moses Lake Photo's
Trying to get caught up in Blog land! Here are some more photo's from Thanksgiving weekend in Moses Lake. Jerry's brother Terry is in the process of building a new house, while we were there the windows were installed, from the second story they will have a great view of the lake. The boys had a fun time helping grandma in the kitchen and of course Aunt Debbie spoiled them with movies and candy.

Great Wolf
We took advantage of Thomas having a day off in the middle of the week (Veterans day) and the mid-week off season rates at Great Wolf Lodge, a hotel less than 10 miles from our house with a large indoor water park. We all had a grand time, it was weird to look outside at the rain while we were playing in the 84 degree water park. Since we live so close we had our fabulous baby sitter come for the afternoon and watch Kelsey so we could take the boys on some of the bigger rides. Jerry even talked me into going on the "Tornado", a huge, dark, big drop off, scary-fun slide. Zac has already asked, "how many more days until we can go to Great Woof again?" I guess we will be looking for some more bargain rates ! :)

The Wood-Cutter
Since the beginning of the school year Thomas' class has been studying "classic tales". Stories like The Three Little Pigs, Cinderella, The Ugly Ducking, pretty much any story that begins with "Once upon a time." At the end of the unit the class had a party and could dress up like a character from one of the stories, Thomas was the wood cutter from Little Red Riding Hood. Thomas was thrilled to pieces to not only wear a beard but to also carry an ax to school. His teacher didn't allow the ax out on the playground, hmm.... she knows first graders (and Thomas!) pretty well!

What's the problem Mom?
It's true, the youngest child does get away with much more than the older ones. (Being an oldest child I have always suspected this.) While Jerry and I were putting away the boy's Halloween candy, Kelsey decided to get started on her "loot". I was impressed that she could actually open the wrapper, so I let her have a few bites before confiscating the candy. The boys were putting on their pajamas and were none the wiser that their little sister was able to eat some candy while they had to wait until the next day.

Happy Autumn
Last Sunday afternoon we made our annual trek to the pumpkin patch. It was bitter sweet. Jerry and I realized when we were getting the kids ready, that, for the first time we didn't have to bring the baby backpack. Sigh. Babies grow so fast. I have a new nephew arriving on or around Dec. 8th, so I will get my baby fix then, with out the 3 AM feedings! We all had a grand time (even Kelsey!), going through the corn maze, playing in the hay, checking out the tractors, and of course picking out HUGE pumpkins. Kelsey still insists on calling the pumpkins "apples", I guess we will have to work on that.

Plan B
My original plan was for Kelsey to wear the shoes that the boy's had outgrown for her outside play shoes. Apparently I'm going to have to re-think this. The other day Kelsey was outside wearing Zac's old shoes for about 10 minutes, then she came inside. When I went to check on her she had (all by herself) changed out of Zac's shoes and had put on her cute pink Hello Kitty croc's . I have tried several times since then to put the boy's old shoes on Kelsey, she will have nothing to do with it. I really don't have a problem with the croc's being outside play shoes, I can just hose them off, but since they are made with holes in the side, and it is now the rainy season, I suppose pink rain boots are in our future...? SHHH, don't tell Kelsey, she is wearing Thomas' old zip hoody in the picture :)

Go Mighty Molars!!!!
Tis the season. Once again I am putting on my mini van driving soccer mom hat! :) I don't mind one bit, Thomas loves playing, plus all the running tires him out, bonus! I included the "field C " sign, because it was straight when we arrived at the game, I'm fairly certain some kid named Zachary had something to do with the bent state that it is now in...
