Out of the blue Zachary comes up to me and says in a very serious voice, "mom, we eat sandwiches and food, not poop." I replied, (while trying not to crack up) "yes, Zachary that is correct, if anything changes I will let you know". 
Yesterday, Thomas' class celebrated Abraham Lincoln's birthday by learning about his life as a child. They practiced their homework on shovels , wrote with a feathered pen, brought a baked potato to school just like kids in that era did, and as you can see they came to school dressed as Abe and made stovepipe hats. They also learned about the Gettysburg address, and made log cabins out of "Lincoln logs". I am constantly amazed at the creativity of Thomas' teacher! We are blessed!
I would like to introduce you to Karen. Yes, she does look like Kelsey, that is because Karen IS Kelsey, but don't tell this to Zac! Between 8:15 and 11: 30 Monday-Friday, while Thomas is at school, Kelsey becomes Karen. It is so cute to hear Zac's one sided dialogue with Karen. I knew it would be a different dynamic with just Zac and Kelsey at home, what I didn't expect was Kelsey's name to change :)
Snow is rare in Centralia, but this winter we have sure had our fair share of it! This afternoon we had a freakish February snow fall, must be all of that global warming. I think we will hold off on purchasing that Prius................ :) Notice the picture on the left, our poor confused tulip tree with buds on it in the snow.
