T-Ball

Thomas is playing T-Ball for the first time this spring, he loves it, but like Soccer, he considers it only a stepping stone to his true passion, Football.

Little Miss Grump

While we were in Moses Lake we were blessed by being able to be a part of our nephew Vincent's dedication. After the service we had the great idea of getting a picture of Kelsey and Vince together in their cute Sunday outfits. Kelsey was less than thrilled.....

Happy Birthday Dad !

Today is Dad's birthday. We celebrated last night, since we are off to Moses Lake today for some belated birthday celebrations (Jerry, his Mom & niece ALL share the same birthday). We had a fun family celebration complete with the traditional pumpkin pie and M & M's.

A sturdy girl

Kelsey had her 15 month well baby check a few days ago, yes, I know she is much closer to 16 months than 15, but she is the third child, such is life! Kelsey is quite the "sturdy girl", the Dr. made the comment, "well I can see that she hasn't missed any meals!" Kelsey weighed in at 27 lbs. 8 oz. (96%) and is 32 3/4 inches tall (97%). By comparison at 15 months Thomas weighed 25 lbs. 4 oz. and was 30 3/4 inches tall . Zachary at 15 months weighed in at 26 lbs. 4 oz. and was 32 inches tall. (I'm terribly impressed with myself that I actually had this info in the boys baby books!) I suppose I will have to scratch figure skating, gymnastics and ballet as possible carer choices for Kelsey, I think basketball, volleyball, or icehockey might be a better fit.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! We had a typical pacific northwest Easter, rain. But the kids had a fun indoor egg hunt. Honestly, I can only remember one time as a kid where the weather was nice enough to have an outdoor egg hunt, to me an indoor hunt is normal. We also had quite a house full with our friends Rob, Kami, their daughter Reagan, and our nephew Kyle coming to visit. After church we all went over to my parents house for an Easter feast, topped off by two yummy desserts, a creamy orange cheese cake, made by Jerry, and a luscious layered lemon dessert made by my mom. Both were de-lish!

Easter baskets

This year the boys (with the help of Grandma) planted grass seed and grew real grass for their Easter baskets. The boys had a lot of fun , and learned a bit about how seeds grow. They are looking forward to the grass growing higher so that they can give their baskets a "haircut". This was a fun and easy Easter project, I think this is something that we just might do every year :)

You'll shoot your eye out!!!

Jerry bought Thomas a Red Ryder BB gun for his birthday. I know that Jerry will do a great job of supervising and teaching Thomas about gun safety, but I still feel nervous about it....I'm his mother, its part of my job description.
