Meanwhile...

 
While the demolition was going on in our kitchen, the kids, my mom and I spent Martin Luther King weekend at the beach. And oh what a rainy, windy, stormy weekend it was! We were quite thankful for a snug little "Beach house" with it's cozy fire, and that the electricity didn't go out. We were however flooded in. Our plan was to spend Sunday afternoon at the aquarium and then the outlets in Seaside, it didn't happen. When we were on the outskirts of Seaside we had to turn around because the road was covered with water, barriers were being put up by DOT and no cars were being allowed through. Luckily the heavy rains didn't continue Sunday evening and we were able to s-l-o-w-l-y inch our way through the still water covered roads in Seaside Monday afternoon and make our way home. After a brief stop at the Seaside outlets of course! :)
